4-9-06 I wanted to report to you that the shipment of my Merit 25 from Beverly Mass to my home in Virginia went well. I can't believe that Doug would drive all night to deliver it and had a long way to go to get to the next tow. He took good care to the boat, and it seems fine. Thanks for your prompt service. Driver Steve Green battled snow several times and had to chain up 4 times, plus change a trailer tire as a result of a blow out. Despite all of this Steve kept me posted on his progress and made our appointment for deliver exactly on time last Saturday at 7:30am. Chris knew exactly what he was doing and provided excellent customer service to me, immediately answering all my calls and providing frequent updates. I had tie-down straps on the boat's transom , but Chris added an extra one in front for added security. He also attached his own set of lights to the trailer because my lights weren't getting a good ground. He and I also dealt with the last minute problem of my marina's launch ramp being locked as he followed me to another marina where we launched my boat. Jamie and the other administrative people also did a great job, arranging delivery to happen July 18th which was very convenient for me and was just as I had requested. If there is anything more scarier than buying a vehicle or a boat on e-bay from total unknowns, its finding another unknown to bring it home. Mark Allen was a very professional, detailed and courteous shipper of my boat. Mark called in advance to arrange pick-up and time of desired to drop off. This was my first time dealing with a shipping company to deliver a high dollar amount boat. Mark Allen called me from time to time to keep me updated through out the day. He made sure the boat and trailer was road worthy and detailed the status of the boat before he began the trip. Mark arrived at the time he estimated it would take him to reach me. Mark made sure that my boat had the best care during the trip. The trip was over 800 miles and Mark delivered my boat on schedule. Communication, professionalism and a dedicated driver equals customer satisfaction. If I ever need a transport or recommend one, Dotan is the way to go.
